We’re looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our remote team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of hands-on WordPress development experience and be capable of building websites from scratch, including custom themes and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Build custom WordPress themes from scratch based on designs
  • Develop custom functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Customize and extend existing themes and plugins
  • Build responsive, mobile-friendly websites
  • Develop custom post types, templates, taxonomies, and WordPress features
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services
  • Troubleshoot and fix WordPress bugs and technical issues
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, SEO, and security
  • Handle WordPress migrations, hosting, and deployments
  • Maintain and update existing WordPress websites
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-structured code

Required Skills And Experience

• 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience

• Strong knowledge of PHP and WordPress

• Proven experience building custom WordPress themes from scratch


• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills

• Experience with Elementor

• Experience with WooCommerce

• Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)

• Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and database

• Experience with MySQL

• Experience with WordPress REST API

• Experience integrating third-party APIs and services

• Proficiency with Git/GitHub

• Knowledge of SEO and technical SEO implementation

• Experience with website speed and performance optimization

• Experience managing WordPress hosting and migrations

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Good communication and ability to work effectively in a remote team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (preferred).

• 5-8 years of professional experience in Full Stack Development.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
