We are looking for a highly skilled Virtual WordPress Web Developer/Designer to join our team. As a Virtual WordPress Web Designer at GAO Group of Companies, you will have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere and collaborate with clients and team members across digital channels.

Design and develop WordPress websites using themes and page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, and WPBakery, or using child themes.
Customize and modify WordPress themes and templates to align with brand identity and aesthetic preferences.
Create responsive web designs for optimal viewing across various devices and screen sizes.
Ensure website performance and optimization for speed and SEO.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress websites remotely.
Stay updated with the latest web design trends, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies.
Create and modify child themes as required.
Support AI-assisted website performance optimization, automated design suggestions, and plugin testing.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a WordPress Web Developer/Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

• Proficiency in WordPress CMS and popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.

• Preference for candidates with Chinese language proficiency.

• Strong understanding of web design principles, responsive design, and SEO best practices.

• Effective communication skills for virtual meetings and collaboration.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet project deadlines.

• Passion for staying updated with the latest web design trends and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Shopify Plus stores.

Knowledge of Node.js and backend integrations.

Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Sanity, or Strapi.

Familiarity with Google Analytics, GTM, SEO, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience working in distributed or cross-functional teams.

Key Deliverables

End-to-end implementation and maintenance of Shopify storefronts.

Development of both Hydrogen and Liquid-based eCommerce experiences.

Custom theme development, enhancement, and optimization.

High-performing, scalable, and conversion-focused online shopping experiences.

Reliable integration of third-party applications and enterprise systems.

Continuous improvement of site performance, usability, and customer experience.
